Bestie Day is the seventh episode of season 3, and the thirty-seventh episode of MPGIS. It aired on December 17th, 2013.

Summary[]

The episode begins with Tristan Mckie dropping off Tanner for football practice, and, a few seconds later, picking Brittnay up to go shopping at the Oak Park Mall. Twenty minutes later, arms full of shopping bags, the two decide to take a break and chat. Picking up their previous conversation, Tristan recommends Brittnay a dry cleaners that can get the toughest stains out of clothes, and the two gossip about a boy at Tristan's school. Suddenly becoming more serious, Brittnay asks Tristan if Tanner's tastes have recently changed, such as wearing different clothing or listening to folksy music, to which he denies. Brittnay tells him that some people at Overland Park High have started liking things that were previously thought weird, and Tristan easily guesses that they are hipsters, much to Brittnay's shock, though he too believes that it is a dumb trend. Feet now hurting, Brittnay suggests finding a cute boy to carry their multitude of bags, to which Tristan easily finds one to do so.

Meanwhile, in the boy's locker room after practice, Tanner, Matthew and Blaine are complimenting each other's plays on the field when they spot Justin, just about to leave the locker room. When asked why he's so late for practice, Justin reveals that he just quit the football team, convinced by Jenna that it is not conducive to the new lifestyle they are pursuing. Tanner questions what he is doing that prevents him from playing football, and Justin tells them it is mostly coffee. Not expecting them to understand, he predicts they will in a few years when it becomes more common, but tells them in the meantime, he can no longer be a jock with them. Matthew chastises him for the underlying insults in his explanation, pointing out that he can do whatever he wants, so long as he is not being a jerk to his friends. The football team agrees to forget the incident, and still be friends with Justin, free of judgement of his new lifestyle. After Justin leaves, Tanner brings up that without Justin, they no longer have a tight end, and questions where they can find a new one. At that moment, Jonathan tumbles out of the bathroom stall. Having eavesdropped on the entire conversation, he offers to fill the new position, though the proclamation is made awkward since his pants are still down. Slightly embarrassed, he pulls his pants back up, remarking that the team now knows he's excited.
